AREA OF EXPERTISE

Edgard Daou is a senior architect with 20 years experience in the design and construction of residential buildings, villas, compounds as well as several non-residential facilities.

Throughout his career, he was in charge of the design/construction of buildings, villas, compounds, commercial centers, hotels, SPA, and tribunal buildings.

Mr. Daou is also a qualified topographic and quantity surveyor who was involved in numerous challenging projects such as harbors, tunnels, dams, airport terminals as well as several roads and wet infrastructure projects.

Residential/Tribunal Buildings
Architectural design and preparation of construction drawings for 14 residential buildings and 1 tribunal building in various regions in Lebanon.
Villas
Architectural design and preparation of construction drawings for more than 23 duplex/triplex villas in various regions in Lebanon
3S Cottage Compound
Architectural design, preparation of construction drawings and execution of a compound consisting of 45 chalets including outdoor swimming pools and tennis/basketball courts.
Commercial Center
Architectural design, preparation of construction drawings and execution of a two-block commercial centre consisting of 24 offices, 21 shops and 3 stories parking area.
Bzoummar Hotel
Architectural design, preparation of construction drawings and execution of a hotel in Bzoummar consisting of 36 rooms, 3 restaurants, SPA, wedding hall, outdoor swimming pool, and terrace.
SPA in Kesrwan
Architectural design and preparation of construction drawings for a SPA in Kesrouan region consisting of 5 stories, 3 outdoor swimming pools, healthy food restaurant, etc.

MAJOR PROPOSALS

Ikot Abasi Harbour in Nigeria
Preparation of the technical and financial offers for the consultancy services of the design of Ikot Abasi harbour and related facilities. The total project area extends over 10000 hectares and includes the harbour its water ways, access roads, water & sewage treatment plants, power station, life-camp area, administrative buildings, hotel, etc.
Akkar Water Supply Project - Lebanon
Preparation of the technical and financial offers for the design and upgrading of the water supply system in Akkar region in Lebanon. The water supply system consists of around 300 km of main lines and around 10 reservoirs and pumping stations.
Bekaa Water Establishment Master Plan - Lebanon
Preparation of the technical and financial offers for the Bekaa water establishment master plan (water supply, wastewater collection & irrigation network). The objective of the project is to gather the existing data, conduct physical and operational assessment of the three systems, and recommend specific improvements.
Aqaba Water Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Reduction Project - Jordan
Preparation of the technical and financial offers for the NRW reduction in Aqaba. The project consists of network sectorisation, minimum night flow analysis, deploying leak detection equipment, and establishing water audits.

  • 2010-2014Expansion of Beirut Harbour - Quay 11 and Quay 16 (Client: SELHORN)

    Topo and Quantity Surveyor Carrying out topographic and quantity survey, predominantly under water, including inspection of the executed work, under water photo capturing, live video and communication transmission with onshore team.

  • 2006 - 2010Kesrouan Costal Area Water Supply (Client: TAJJ AND BARESEL)

    Topo Surveyor In charge of setting the course for the Tunnel Boring Machine through the 4 km long tunnel. The target point was reached with outstanding accuracy.

  • 2001 - 2010Dams in Various Regions in Lebanon (Client: MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND WATER)

    Topo Surveyor The mission is to establish fully detailed topographic plans including layouts, sections, land acquisition documents, and other details for five Dams in Aassi (2 nb.), Ras-Baalbeck, Iaal and Qarqaf.

  • 2011Beirut International Airport VIP Terminal (Client: AL JIHAD)

    Topo Surveyor In charge of carrying out topographic survey and execution follow-up for the VIP lounge and terminal section. The works include the VIP building and the related infrastructure works.

  • 1997 - 1999Roads and Highways in Various Regions in Lebanon (Client: CONSOLIDATED CONTRACTORS COMPANY)

    Topo Surveyor Conducting topographic survey works for several road projects such as: Chekka - Tripoli, Khaldeh - Zahrani, and Jounieh - Tabarja. The survey works measures around 55 km long and includes preparation of as-built drawings and profiles.

  • 2000 - 2003Irrigation Projects (Client: DAR AL HANDASAH NAZIH TALEB & PARTNERS)

    Topo Surveyor Preparation of topographic plan views and profiles for around 150 km of irrigation channels, located mainly in North and Mount Lebanon.

  • 2006 - 2011Sewer Collection Projects (Client: DAR AL HANDASAH NAZIH TALEB & PARTNERS)

    Topo Surveyor Preparation of topographic plan views and profiles for around 300 km of sewer collection lines in Danniyeh, Jbeil, and Aamchit regions.

  • 1997 - 2011Water Supply Projects (Client: DAR AL HANDASAH NAZIH TALEB & PARTNERS)

    Topo Surveyor Conducting topographic works for several water supply systems in Hermel, Baalbeck, Jbeil, and Danniyeh regions, consisting of water supply lines layouts and profiles (around 500 km), reservoir and pumping station sites (around 50), and land acquisition documents.

  • 2010Greater Beirut Project (Client: DAR AL HANDASAH NAZIH TALEB & PARTNERS)

    Topo Surveyor Establishing fully detailed street topographic plans, covering all services (water supply lines, sewer collection lines, storm drainage channels, cables, etc.) as well as shoulders and sidewalks for a total length of 25 km approximately.
